July 2006 Dear Friends, We are writing to let you know that after 31 remarkable and rewarding years, the firm of Yablonski Both & Edelman will cease to exist effective July 31, 2006 , upon the expiration of our current lease. While we will no longer be practicing as partners, we will each be continuing legal practice in Washington , D.C. and will work together on new and old projects and cases. What can we say after thirty years together? We feel extremely fortunate to have been part of important legal developments, especially those relating to the rights of workers, victims of workplace disasters, civil rights, and honest and democratic governance of labor unions and the furtherance of the Rule of Law and an Open Society in newly emerging countries in Central Asia, following the collapse of the former Soviet Union. We are thankful for the opportunities we have had to collaborate with one another and with friends in the Washington legal community and beyond. We are grateful to our clients and the opportunities we have had to serve them. We have warm feelings about our interactions with all of you. We end our partnership with a sense of sadness but even more so with a sense of appreciation for one another and for the opportunity we have had to work together.
